A personal note – My family has been buying Blue Ribbon organic meat and veggies for over a year now and we have been very satisfied. Free Nightfall Concert Series in Miller Plaza May 28 – Sept 4, 2010. This series brings around 2,500 people every Friday night and features international, national and regional talent. Nightfall continues to bring an eclectic mix of rock, blues, jazz, world music, funk, bluegrass and folk music to Downtown Chattanooga. Nightfall will keep its commitment to the local arts community by featuring Chattanooga musicians for each opening act, beginning at 7 pm, followed by performances by national and international talent at 8 pm. It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s Pajama Day at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A! Come dressed in your PJ’s and receive a free chicken biscuit or 3-count chicken minis from 8:30-10:30 am! Sometimes they have cartoons for kids, a cow appearance, and spinning wheel with prizes!

Mainstreet Cleveland is organizing the weekly seasonal market that opens on Thursday, May 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Museum Center at 5ive Points. The 5 Points Market will continue each Thursday afternoon throughout the season. Local artists and crafters will feature a variety of items for sell. Entertainment and food will complete the family atmosphere. All area farmers and gardeners are invited to participate, spaces are free. The MOMS Club of Cleveland, TN meets the last Friday of every month at 10:30 am at the Cleveland YMCA. *The meetings have been relocated to Grace Point Church for May, June, and July.* Childcare is provided at no charge and moms do not have to be a member at the Y to attend. McDonald’s is having Free Frappe Fridays at participating stores for a limited time. On Fridays from 7 am – 7 pm, you can get a free 7 oz sample size of one of their frappes. I haven’t heard how long this promo is going on. Does anyone know if they are still doing this?

MainStreet Cruise-In (antique car show) is the 4th Saturday of every month from 3 – 9 pm April through October around the courthouse square in downtown Cleveland. The event averages over 500 cars on display. No entry fee to exhibit or attend! The MainStreet Cruisers present the “Those Oldies But Goodies” Cruise-In featuring Blast From The Past on the event stage. Blood drive at the event. The seasonal Chattanooga Market is back! It features farm-fresh produce, meats and cheeses, fresh bread, arts & crafts from local artisans, family activities, and live music and admission is free. It’s open on Sundays at the First Tennessee Pavilion located at 1826 Carter Street next to Finley Stadium from 11 am – 4 pm April 25 through December 5, 2010. Coming Up

The Museum Center at 5ive Points in downtown Cleveland is having a free encore showing of the Hollywood motion picture, Wild River on Tuesday, June 29 at 6:30 pm at the museum. Popcorn and soft drinks will be available for purchase. This movie was filmed in Bradley County 50 years ago.
Jenifer emailed this tip: First Things First is showing free outdoor family-friendly movies at Coolidge Park again this year on July 10, 17, 24, 31. The movie will start at sundown (just after 9 pm.) Kids under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and money for concessions. Click here for more details.
