College Students, Faculty, and Staff Get Half-Priced Admission at the Tennessee Aquarium Throughout February 2012

Throughout the month of February, college students, faculty and staff will have an opportunity to visit the Tennessee Aquarium for half price. To receive the College Days discount, visitors must present a valid college ID when purchasing tickets. Family members may also receive this discount when accompanied by a student or faculty member with current college ID. This offer is valid for admission to the Tennessee Aquarium, IMAX 3D Theater or combination tickets to both attractions. The discount is also extended to cruises aboard the River Gorge Explorer.

Many stores offer savings and incentives for using a store credit card, but did you know Target offers a debit card with rewards? It’s called a REDcard and will save you 5% off your purchases every day in Target stores and on target.com. You also get free shipping on target.com. You can enroll your REDcard in their Take Charge of Education program, where they will donate 1% of your purchases to eligible K-12 schools. Plus you can earn additional 5% off coupons when you fill five prescriptions and pay with your REDcard. That’s on top of the every day 5% discount. Even though it is a debit card, you do need to fill out a credit application and provide a voided check so they can get your bank routing numbers. Scouts and leaders in uniform get discounted admission of $10. Parents and other adults in the group can get admission for $20 and additional kids aged 3-12 may get admission for just $10. Triple Fuelperks on Gift Card Purchases at BI-LO Nov 30-Dec 6, 2011

Wow, I thought double fuelperks on gift card purchases was great, but BI-LO is offering TRIPLE fuelperks on gift card purchases today through Tues, Dec 6, 2011. What that means is, if you buy a $25 Chili’s gift card, you earn fuelperks on $75 instead of $25. For every $50 you spend, you earn $.05 off per gallon of gas with fuelperks. So, if you buy two $25 gift cards, you would earn fuelperks on $150 ($25 x 2 x 3), which would earn you $.15 off per gallon of gas!

BI-LO has tons of restaurant and retail gift cards to choose from. Gift cards make great gifts, but you can also plan ahead and if you know you’ll be eating out at Olive Garden soon, go ahead and buy yourself an Olive Garden gift card at BI-LO this week so that you can earn some gas discounts while spending money you were going to spend any way at Olive Garden. BI-LO fuelperks: How I saved $2.70 per gallon of gas plus double fuelperks on gift cards right now

I told you back in August about BI-LO’s fuelperks program (read my post here if you missed it) and I started earning fuelperks myself back then, too. You have 90 days plus the current month before your fuelperks begin to expire, so I knew I had until Nov 30 before my fuelperks would begin to expire. I decided to go ahead and redeem them today since my tank was on empty and I didn’t want to risk forgetting to use them by the end of the month. When I pumped gas today, the price went from $3.39/gal to $.69/gal since I had $2.70 in fuelperks I had been racking up since Aug. It sure was nice paying $10.77 til fil up my 15-gallon tank instead of about $50! Just a quick re-cap, you earn $.05 in fuelperks for every $50 you spend at BI-LO. Plus, they have different bonus fuelperk promotions each week.

One of the bonus fuelperks deals they have going on right now is you can earn double fuelperks on the purchase of gift cards. For example, if you buy a $25 gift card, you will earn fuelperks as if you’d spend $50, so you’d earn $.05 in fuel perks. They have tons of restaurant and retail gift cards to choose from. If you’re going to be shopping at Toys R Us this holiday season, why not buy a Toys R Us gift card from BI-LO and earn some free gas while you’re spending money you’d be spending anyways! Same for restaurant gift cards (Outback, Applebee’s, O’Charley’s, Olive Garden, Chili’s, Cracker Barrel, and more) – these make great Christmas gifts – so why not buy them at BI-LO instead of somewhere else, so that you can earn some free gas. I do not know how long the double fuelperks promotion will last. They offer this every now and then, just keep an eye out in their sale paper and for signs in the store.
