I’ve posted about birthday freebies for kids, but wanted to do an updated post since my oldest son recently celebrated a birthday.  Some of the freebies from companies have changed (i.e. downgraded) since his birthday last year, but hey, free stuff is always nice, especially on your birthday.  Here’s what we got that you can sign your child up for to below.  There’s still plenty of places that offer a freebie with no purchase required.  Do you know of any birthday freebies for kids I missed?  Click here for a list of birthday freebies for grown-ups.

• Steak n Shake – coupon in mail for a free Jr Steakburger and fries (no expiration date, no purchase required)
• Zaxby’s – coupon in mail for a free kids meal (no expiration date, no purchase required)
• Sonic – coupon by email for free Wacky Pack Kids Meal (expires 30 days from birthday, no purchase required)
• Firehouse Subs – coupon by mail for a free sub (no expiration date, no purchase required) They no longer offer this.
• Denny’s – coupon by mail for free kids entree and kids dessert with purchase of any regularly-priced adult entree (no expiration date)
• Shoney’s – coupon by email for free kids meal (unfortunately the Shoney’s in Cleveland has closed, but you can go here to find other locations, like in Athens, East Ridge, and Chattanooga.)
• Chuck E Cheese’s – coupon by email for 20 free tokens (I think expires 2 weeks from date you print coupon.)  They also some coupons for extra free tokens when you book a birthday party.
• Captain D’s – coupon by email for free kids meal with purchase of adult entree (expires 30 days from date sent, which for us was 3 days before his birthday)
• Moe’s – coupon by email for free kid’s meal (expires 30 days from date sent I believe, no purchase required
• Baskin Robbins – coupon by email for free 2.5 oz scoop (If I remember correctly, you have to sign up yourself for the bday club, then it will let you add members of your household for their bdays.  This one has a short exp. date.  It was only good for 5 days after my son’s bday.)
• Brusters – coupon by email for free waffle cone when you buy a waffle cone of equal or greater value
• Cold Stone Creamery (there’s one in downtown Chattanooga) – coupon by email for free creation
• Great American Cookies – coupon by email for free cookie slice cake (no purchase required, expires 2 weeks from date sent)
• The Children’s Place – coupon by email for 15% off
• The Children’s Orchard – coupon by email for “special birthday surprise” when you print and bring in the email.  When I took it to the Cleveland store, they said we could get $3 off any purchase of $3 or more, so we got a pair of free shorts for this summer.
• Toys R Us – coupon by mail for $5 off any Lego purchase of $25 or more (for the past four years, we have gotten $3 off $3 purchase.  I’m wondering if the coupon was different this year because he turned 5.)
• Olan Mills – coupon by email for free 8×10, 5×7, and 4 wallets, plus 20% off additional portraits, sitting must be booked within 60 days of birthday.  (I think this is supposed to be for kids 3 and under, so I’m not sure why they sent us the email this year and last year.)
