You're right, Donna. I looked at my receipt again and the Cole's bread rang up 2 for $2.29. I thought for sure the sales price on the freezer door in the frozen bread section said $2.79 and I was disappointed.

Gloria, when I went Sunday night for my items, my coles garlic bread rang up 2.29. I did notice the variation in the prices (Most of the time I remember and sometimes I forget to check!) but that is the price I got on my receipt. So I don't know why yours would be a different price? I didn't get mine in the freeze aisle since they were on the end. That's strange that your price is different than mine...

Oops, thanks Devon for correcting my math error on the Classico spaghetti sauce! :-) Glad to know they are not suppressing the DND's anymore! Good news!

Just an FYI - the Ooltewah Publix doubles all coupons, even ones that state do not double (DND). They did supress them for a period of time, but had a meeting about it and decided to double every coupon $0.50 and under. This was a few months ago when I talked with them about this issue and haven't had anyone supress my DND coupons since.
Also, I think the Classico is supposed to be $0.75 after q's...since the qpon is a $1/2.
Thanks for all you do!

Hi, Donna. I was hoping the Cole's bread would be $2.29 like on Southern Savers, but the price on the shelf at the Ooltewah Publix was $2.79. I've noticed sometimes prices are a little higher in our area at Publix and Bi-Lo than what SouthernSavers.com posts. Good news on the Smuckers Uncrustables, though - I called the store this morning and said I forgot to get a rain check on them last night and the lady said not to worry b/c they will be on sale through March something. (She couldn't remember exact date.)

I enjoy going to the Publix in Ooltewah. I've never had a problem there either and like you Gloria, I forgot my rain check as well :( bummer... I do recall the one night when one of the managers was helping me bring my groceries to my car that she said they are looking to bringing one to Cleveland. I hope so!

I have never had a problem at the Ooltewah Publix. I LOVE PUBLIX!! I can't wait 'til they come to Cleveland. I just always assume that the coupons that say "do not double" don't. So, I'm not disappointed when they don't. :)

Hi, Richard. Thanks for your input. I forgot to mention in my post that the week before, I asked the customer service desk at the Ooltewah Publix if you can use a store coupon, competitor coupon, and manufacturer coupon on the same item and the lady said, "yes." Many readers on SouthernSavers.com have said their stores allow that, too. I am certainly not trying to cheat the system. I'm a Christian and moral couponer, too.

I have found that 9/10 times, something is usually stated on the back of the coupon prohibiting this type of thing. As a Christian trying to circumvent policys like this and taking advantage of employee's who are somewhat lax in upholding company standards, seems to be a morally gray area at best. Even though I could use an extra discount as much as the next person, I feel it is best to simply follow the rules and stay away from anything would give the appearance of trying to "work the system." Especially when considering family, this is definitely not a practice I would like to pass on to my children.
