Fun and Frugal

I’m back in the blogosphere!   Thanks to Jennifer for doing a good job filling in!  Here are some upcoming events for this week and a few sneak peaks of upcoming events down the road.

Tuesday, Feb. 2

• FREE Kids Meals are Back!  Every Tuesday is Family Night at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A from 5-8 pm. They have something fun for the family each Tuesday night such as a craft, family movie, magician, clown, etc. Bring the family for dinner and fun! This Tues. Feb. 2 they will be having a Sundae Bar!  Free ice dream with purchase.  Choose yummy toppings from the toppings bar.  Plus, the Cleveland Chick-fil-A is offering free kids meals on Tuesday nights from 5-8 pm again for the month of February!  (Limit 2 free kids meals per adult meal purchase, no other coupons or discounts allowed.)  Be on the lookout for cow appearances throughout the week at lunch and dinner.  Also, purchase a 10-pack of Chick-fil-A Valentine cards for $2.50 – they each have a FREE ice dream offer on them.

Saturday, Feb. 6

• It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s Pajama Day at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A! Come dressed in your PJ’s and receive a free chicken biscuit or 3-count chicken minis from 8:30-10:30 am!  They will also have cartoons for kids and a cow appearance.
• Also on the first Saturday of the month, Home Depot offers a free project for kids! Call your local store for details.  And if you haven’t already, sign up for the Home Depot e-newsletter to receive special offers and promotions here.
• The Goodwill stores in Hixson, Cleveland, and Dayton, TN have 50% off everything in the store the first Saturday of every month. Not sure if this is the same for every Goodwill.
• Enjoy free admission to the Museum Center at 5ive Points in downtown Cleveland the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Sunday, Feb. 7

• Enjoy free admission to the Hunter Museum of American Art in downtown Chattanooga the first Sunday of each month from 12-5 pm.
• Valentine Dinner Train Rides at the TN Valley Railroad Museum 5:30-7:30 pm $60 per ticket, also some tickets are still available for Thursday, Feb. 11 from 5:30-7:30.

Coming Up

• Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey are coming to the UTC Arena March 11-14, 2010.  Tickets range from $10-$36.  If you have a baby under age 1, you can request a complimentary ticket to be used anytime here.  (Note, I don’t recall how long it takes to receive your certificate in the mail.  It may not arrive in time for this particular show, but would be good to go ahead and get to save for a future show because it does not expire.)

• Ticket are now available for Day Out with Thomas at the TN Valley Railroad Museum April 23, 24, 25 and May 1 and 2, 2010.  For those of you with little Thomas the Train fans in your household, you will love this fun-filled day like we do!  Tickets are $14-$18.  You can get a $2 discount on Friday tickets by using code FRIDAY2.
