Quilts 2009 show

CLEVELAND, TN: The Museum Center at 5ive Points announces its Stitches-in-Time quilt submission weeks during the Museum’s open hours of Tuesday – Friday 10 – 5 and Saturday 1- 3 from January 5-9 and 12-16.  Due to space considerations this year, people can submit one quilt for the 2010 Stitches-In-Time exhibit that will be held from January 28 – March 13. The quilts can be contemporary or antique and can be made in any part of the country.

Participants are encouraged to have a 4” hanging sleeve either sewn or pinned to the back top of their quilt so the piece can be hung. Antique quilts do not need to have a sleeve. For questions about this please call the Museum and ask for Lisa at 339-5745.

Quilts will be judged before the exhibit opens by a panel of judges in the following categories: Best of Show – Contemporary, Best of Show – Antique, Best Wall Hanging, Best Group Quilt, Best Use of Color & Design. New this year will be the awarding of second and third place awards in these categories. Throughout the exhibit viewers will be able to vote for the Viewer’s Choice Award, which will be awarded at the close of the exhibit.
