Tuesday, Dec. 8
- Kids Eat Free on Family Nights is back at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A for the month of December! (Limit 2 per adult. May not be combined with any other coupons or discounts.) Every Tuesday is Family Night at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A from 5-8 pm. They have something fun for the family each Tuesday night such as a craft, family movie, magician, clown, etc. Bring the family for dinner and fun! For the month of December, you can enjoy a different holiday movie each Family Night. This Tues. Dec. 8 they will be showing The Muppet Christmas Carroll! Also, purchase a 2010 Chick-fil-A calendar for $8. There are lots of coupons for free food inside, with no purchase necessary! Also, check out the cute holiday gift baskets valued at over $70 for sale for only $24.99! And the Peppermint Milkshake is back for a limited time. - From www.southeasttennessee.com: Appalachian Christmas — Held the second Friday in December, this event offers an abundance of cheer and traditional Appalachian folk and bluegrass music. Local favorites, The Morgans & Lynn Haas and the Dismembered Tennesseans begin the toe tapping evening, followed by a headline performance by a regionally recognized bluegrass group. Celebrate this acoustic Christmas at the Back Porch Theatre with Appalachian Christmas. Let the beautiful sound of the music take you back to a simpler time. An Appalachian Santa and complimentary hot cider and sugar cookies round out this favorite free event.

- Come see The Cleveland Light Show at 1104 Key St. This is the house beside Peerless Road Church, which is located at the intersection of Peerless Road and Raider Drive. Did you see their fabulous Christmas light show last year? They synchronize the dancing Christmas lights all over their house and yard to music that you listen to on your radio. They promise it to be even better this year. - Christmas Gala – The Embassy Cleveland will be hosting their monthly “Celebrate Your Mate” night out on Friday Dec 18th from 7-9 PM at Lee University’s Administration Building in the Centenary Room. They will have dinner, catered by Farmhouse Restaurant and game tables. Their speaker for the night will be Mr. Gerry Anderson. The event is free. Donations this month will go to House of Mercy, an orphanage in Kenya ravaged by recent flooding. Please RSVP to on www.embassy-cleveland.com by Thursday Dec 17.
- Scrapbooking for a Cure Jan. 16, 2010 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Museum Center at 5ive Points. $20 for all-day crop, includes lunch and door prizes. Registration deadline Jan. 5, 2010. there is going to be a toy swap held for cleveland and athens…for clevelanders…bring your used outgrown toys to blythe center on the 14th and 15th/ get vouchers for them and then get to shop with your vouchers on the 16th….it is called flip flop toy swap. this is a community project with nooooo money involved and noooo profit. call 479-9339 (family resource center) ext. 3553…NOT CHARITY OR INCOME BASED…just a swap..
