The Westwood Academy for the Creative Arts (WACA) at Westwood Baptist Church in Cleveland seeks to provide a positive atmosphere where students of all ages and creative interests can pursue excellence in the arts through a Christian perspective. Convenient afternoon and evening classes are available for adults and children as young as 3 years in Dance and Art, and 5 years in music lessons. Dance classes include ballet, tap, jazz, and beginning point. Art classes are group instruction courses with projects including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Music lessons are available as private sessions in guitar, piano, violin, drums, and voice.
Spring 2010 brings a new class: Miss Clarissa’s Theater, a hands-on literature experience involving children’s classic literature. Courses are offered per semester, and include a recital/art display in both the spring and fall. The WACA is committed to provide quality instruction to those who genuinely desire to learn. They believe that financial reasons should not keep a student from pursuing their talents and abilities. The WACA office is ready to answer your questions regarding the scholarship program. Online registration for spring semester is available through www.westwoodlife.org beginning December 14 through January 6, 2010. Tuition and fee information can also be found on their website here. With a friendly smile at every turn, and compassionate teachers in every class, the Westwood Academy for the Creative Arts is a perfect learning environment.
