Tuesday, Nov. 3

  • Every Tuesday is Family Night at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A from 5-8 pm.  They have something fun for the family each Tuesday night such as a craft, family movie, magician, clown, etc.  Bring the family for dinner and fun!
  • Jamie from Chattanooga Cheapskate hosts a Coupon Swap from 7-9 pm at the Cleveland Public Library.  This is held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.  Everyone welcome.  Bring coupons to swap.  Please RSVP to Jamie by leaving a comment on her blog here.

Saturday, Nov. 7

  • Craft and Food Fair Nov. 7-8 at North Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, TN.  There will be vendors of ALL kinds…crafts, food, Christmas goodies, everything!  It will take place at the Hughes Family Ministry Center.  Hot food will also be available for sale both days.  The hours are 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8.  Proceeds benefit the North Cleveland Church of God middle school ministry.  Stop by the Funandfrugal.com booth and register to win two tickets to Dollywood!  (exp 1-2-2010)  Free Funandfrugal.com car window decals/bumper stickers to anyone who asks for one, while supplies last.  FunandFrugal.com t-shirts available for $5.
  • People for Care and Learning is sponsoring a new playground at the Greenway by First Tennessee Bank on Raider Drive in Cleveland that will be opened to the public this Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. The playground features slides, monkey bars, swings and other fun structures. The event will last from 10a.m. to 12 noon, and the dedication ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. Mayor Tom Rowland, local dignitaries, and friends of the project will be on hand to dedicate the site to the community. Mix 104.1 will be broadcasting live from the event, and there will be food and drink available as well as a chance to see the Chik-fil-A cow!
  • Belk Charity Sale from 6 am – 10 am at Bradley Square Mall.  You must purchase a $5 ticket to get entrance to this private sale.  Various charitable organizations are selling tickets.  Some people from First Baptist Church Cleveland will be selling tickets at the door at Belk to raise funds for a missions trip.  The ticket costs $5, but then you get to redeem it for $5 off any purchase at Belk, plus you can fill out the stub and get registered to win a $1,000 Belk shopping spree!  (Thanks, Ginger for the info!)
  • It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s Pajama Day at the Cleveland Chick-fil-A! Come dressed in your PJ’s and receive a free chicken biscuit or 3-count chicken minis from 8:30-10:30 am!
  • Also on the first Saturday of the month, Home Depot offers a free project for kids! Call your local store for details.
  • The Goodwill stores in Hixson and Cleveland have 50% off everything in the store the first Saturday of every month. Not sure if this is the same for every Goodwill.
  • Enjoy free admission to the Museum Center at 5ive Points in downtown Cleveland the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
  • Open House at Sara’s Hallmark in Cleveland Sat Nov. 7 from 10-6pm and Sun Nov. 8 from 1-5pm.  Hallmark boxed cards will be buy one get one 50% off.

    The next Free day at the Hunter Museum of American Art will be Next month — Sunday, December 6. Last year they had several decorated Christmas trees.
