Publix 10.04.09

I got many items for free and cheap at Publix tonight!  I spent $28.03 and saved $67.46 (73% savings!)  Remember, Publix doubles coupons up to $.50 and you do not have to buy BOGO’s (Buy One Get One) in pairs – they each ring up half-price.  Here’s what I got:

  • Juicy Juice BOGO at $3.65 (comes to $1.82/ea).  I had 2 coupons for $.50/2 Juicy Juice from recent inserts, which each doubled to $1.00.  I got 2 extras without a coupon since this is a good price to stock up and we go through lots of Juicy Juice.
  • V8 V Fusion BOGO at $3.99 (comes to $1.99/ea).  I used 4 $1.00 printable coupons (you can print 2 per computer.)
  • Cheez-It crackers BOGO at $3.99 (comes to $1.99/ea).  I got the Whole Wheat variety and used 2 $.75 printables.
  • Progresso Soup, Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, and Publix reusable bags: I bought 2 Progresso Soups at $1.25/ea and used $.50/2 coupon from recent insert; 2 Pillsbury crescent rolls and used 2 $1.00 printable coupons – IE (Internet Explorer) users click here and here or FF (Firefox) users click here and here ; 1 Publix reusable shopping bag and used resent coupon insert for free bag (you can also get coupon here.); plus I also used a store coupon for $1 off when you buy Pillsbury and Progresso from a resent insert (also found here.)
  • Publix bread – Mystery Penny item.  (If you don’t know, Publix offers a mystery penny item every Sunday and Monday when you bring in the coupon from the Sunday paper insert and spend at least $10 before coupons.)
  • Hershey’s shelf-stable UHT milk 3-pack (I found it by the Nesquick powder) $2.00.  I used a $.50 printable, which doubled to $1.00, making this $1.00 for a 3-pack or $.33/box.
  • Musselman’s apple sauce 6-pk on sale 3/$5 or $1.67/ea.  I used a $1/3 printable, which I can’t find the link for now.
  • Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers frozen entree on sale 50% off.  I bought one that was originally $3.40 ($1.69 half price) and used this $2.00 printable coupon making it free plus overage!
  • Green Giant frozen vegetables 7-10 oz on sale $10/10 ($1/ea).  I used 4 of this $.50 printable coupon, which all doubled to $1.00 making these free!
  • Yoplait Yo Plus yogurt BOGO at $2.50 (comes to $1.25/ea).  I used 6 coupons for $1.00 off, making these $.25 each 4-pack!  Some were printables here and here and others were from recent inserts.
  • The 2nd Publix bag was free from using the store coupon in the Yellow Advantage Buy flyer (found just inside the doors on the spinny rack thing) for a free Publix reusable shopping bag when you buy 2 Kellogg’s, Keebler, or Sunshine products.  The 2 boxes of Cheez-Its I bought are Sunshine products.

Thanks to Southern Savers for all the deal match-up!  You can see the complete list of what is on sale and what coupons to use here at Southern Savers.  This list is good through Tuesday, Oct. 6.  Publix sales run Wednesday through Tuesday.  If they’re out of an item, ask for a rain check!  You can see Jenny Martin, the owner of Southern Savers in person at First Baptist Cleveland Friday, Oct. 9 at the Coupon Town Hall event.  Preregistration is required at clevelandfbc.com/coupons.
