You’re familiar with the well-known marketing company that produces the TV ratings –Neilsen, right? Have you heard of Neilsen Homescan? You can apply to be a Neilsen Homescan Consumer Panelist and earn free merchandise (electronics, jewelry, toys, and more!). What this means is, if they accept your application (some areas are accepting applications and some are on a waiting list), they will mail you a scanner and ask you to scan the barcode of every item you purchase at home. In exchange for your time, you will earn points you can redeem for free merchandise, such as a digital camera. Just beware, I did this for about 9-12 months(last year). I felt like it was a total waste of time. You don’t get very many points at all, the rewards cost allot of points. And what you have to do it scan every single thing you buy and then you have to enter the price and then if you used coupon and how much coupon was ( and this was before i started couponing)and then the total of your purchase. It got old very quick. I ended up returning the scanner. Just a heads up.
