Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are a few options…
Friday, Aug. 21
- 2nd Annual Appalachian Artisans Festival at The Museum Center at 5ive Points in downtown Cleveland 1-7 pm – free admission and it’s held indoors, not in the rain or heat!
- Night Fall is a free concert series at Miller Plaza in downtown Chattanooga every Friday night from May 22 – Sept 25 beginning at 7 pm. Click here for more info.
- Carnival at Bradley Square Mall opens at 5 pm.
Saturday, Aug. 22
- 2nd Annual Appalachian Artisans Festival at The Museum Center at 5ive Points in downtown Cleveland 10 am – 3 pm – free admission and it’s held indoors, not in the rain or heat!
- The 9th Annual Back To School Middle School YMCA Pool Party will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Teens will be treated to free hot dogs and drinks sponsored by Bi-Lo, music from Gravel Road, a fashion show by J.C. Penney’s and much more. Following the pool party will be a fantastic fireworks display sponsored by Fireworks Supermarket. In addition, WCLE-Mix 104.1 will announce the winner of their 104 Days of Summer Bahamas Cruise at the beginning of the party. The event is free and open to all middle school students. Teens must have a signed parental from to attend. Call the YMCA at 476-5573 for details.
- MainStreet Cleveland holds a Cruise-In the fourth Saturday of each month April through October from 3-9 pm in downtown Cleveland. No entry fee to exhibit or attend. Aug. 22 is the fourth Saturday of this month, so come on out and see lots of restored cars at this popular free event. Visit mainstreetcruisein.com for more info.
- Last night of the Carnival at Bradley Square Mall. Opens at 5 pm.
- Kids Eat Free at Fazoli’s on Saturdays and Sunday in August. One free kids meal per adult entree purchased at participating locations. No coupons necessary.
Sunday, Aug. 23
- The Chattanooga Market is open every Sunday from 11-4 with free admission through 12/7/09. They have local produce, crafters, vendors, musical entertainment, and a different theme each week. Visit chattanoogamarket.com for more info. This Sunday, Aug. 23 the theme is Live United, with arts, crafts, & healthy activities for children and families from The United Way.
