Here’s a look at what’s happening this last weekend in August in the Cleveland/Chattanooga area:

Friday, August 28

• Beth Moore Simulcast at First Baptist Church Cleveland 8:00-10:30 pm.  Tickets $25 for this 2-day event.  I’m not sure if tickets have sold out yet.  You can call the church office at 476-5526 before they close at noon on Friday to inquire.
• Family Fun Night at The Creative Discovery Museum’s Science Theatre is held the fourth Friday of the month.  The theme Aug. 28 is Blast Off! The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 pm.  Cost is $9 per child over age 4 and $7 for Creative Discovery Museum members.  (Members remember to bring your card for the discount).  Parents are admitted free.  Call (423) 875-8522 to reserve your spot for this great night of family fun.  The Science Theatre is located in the back of North Gate Mall in Hixson, TN.
• Night Fall is a free concert series at Miller Plaza in downtown Chattanooga every Friday night from May 22 – Sept 25 beginning at 7 pm.  Click here for more info.
• 28th Annual Taylors Ruritan Rodeo will be held at the Taylor Rurital Club grounds at 221 Old Kinser Rd in Cleveland.  Click here for more info.

Saturday, Aug. 29

• The Beth Moore Simulcast at First Baptist Church Cleveland continues from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.
• Kids Eat Free at Fazoli’s on Saturdays and Sundays in August.  One free kids meal per adult entree purchased at participating locations.  No coupons necessary.
• 28th Annual Taylors Ruritan Rodeo will be held at the Taylor Rurital Club grounds at 221 Old Kinser Rd in Cleveland.  Click here for more info.

Sunday, Aug. 30

• The Chattanooga Market is open every Sunday from 11-4 with free admission through 12/7/09.  They have local produce, crafters, vendors, musical entertainment, and a different theme each week.  Visit chattanoogamarket.com for more info.  This Sunday, Aug. 30 the theme is Mountain View Bluegrass.
