Kindermusik Adventures turns an ordinary summer into an extraordinary journey with theme-based classes where your child discovers the joy of music, movement, dance, drama and storytelling. Adventures is a music and movement curriculum designed to provide children ages newborn through five years with engaging programs that excite the mind and imagination.

Kindermusik Adventures will give you a summer’s worth of music, stories, and activities designed for a lifetime of learning. You’ll receive special materials to integrate the class experience with the time you spend together at home. Summer doesn’t have to be ordinary. With Kindermusik Adventures, the memories your child creates are extraordinary enough to last a lifetime.

Mrs. Dee Lancaster graduated from Lee University with her BS degree in Early Childhood Studies.  She worked 8 years as a Kindergarten teacher for the Cleveland City School system.  During this time, Dee and her husband enrolled their son in a Kindermusik Our Time class and immediately fell in love with the program.  In 2002, she changed careers and became a Licensed Kindermusik Educator.  She has enjoyed teaching Kindermusik for the past 6 years.

Kindermusik with Mrs. Dee will have a 5-week summer session at Westmore Church of God in Cleveland from June 8-July 7 and a 15-week fall session from Aug. 24-Dec. 17, 2009.  There are several classes offered for various age groups from birth through age 5.  See below for descriptions and times for the summer classes:

• Busy Days—newborn to 1.5 years
  Set your baby’s day to classical music. With a little more Tchaikovsky in your “Twinkle, Twinkle” repertoire discover new ways baby benefits from the classics as you develop an appreciation for the world’s most respected music. Each lesson features new activities and songs that the parent can sing for all the places baby and mom go together—the store, the playground, the doctor, and more.

  MONDAYS: 10:00 A.M.  or  5:30 P.M. or
  THURSDAYS:  11:00 A.M.

• Zoo Train!—1.5 years to 3 years old
  Toddlers and trains make a natural match—always on the move. Tag along this summer with a traveling zoo train. Bring your own stuffed animals for the petting zoo. Wear long white socks on your hands for polar bear paws and learn about real animals in the zoo. Sing songs for clapping time, and use music to help toddlers regulate emotions.

• On the Road—3 years to 5 years
  Re-live your childhood, with your child. Every song is likely to revive a memory from your summers’ past. Play “Eye Spy” and find shapes in the clouds to pass the time. Take imaginary trips in a bus named “Van Go” to fun-filled vacation destinations such as the carnival, a summer cottage, and the beach.

  MONDAYS:  12 NOON or
  TUESDAYS:  5:30 P.M.
