Fun and Frugal

There’s been rumors for a while (maybe even years) that a Publix is coming to Cleveland.  I’ve spoken with the people who issue building permits and business licenses at the City of Cleveland and they said Publix has not applied yet.  Fun and Frugal reader, Crystal, emailed Publix to brag on their wonderful customer service and to ask if they had plans to build a store in Cleveland and here is a copy of the email reply she received from Publix today…

At this time we do not have a site approved or planned for Cleveland, TN. And unfortunately due to proprietary information I cannot share with you the possibility of a store opening there.

However, I can tell you that we are always working hard to reach out to new customers and provide better service to our regular customers. Our Real Estate Department does this in many ways and site selection is one of them. We are always scouting out new sites for development and new store locations – Cleveland is a great city and we do expect to migrate in that general direction as we continue expanding in Tennessee.

We do hope that we can bring a more convenient shopping experience to you and your neighborhood in the near future.

Please be patient with us as we work diligently to expand into this relatively new market area.
