CVS has some more great deals this week. I only paid $1.63 out of pocket (which was pretty much just tax) on items worth $41.09! You can see all the weekly coupon match-ups at Southern Savers for March 8-14. Here’s what I got:
- Colgate Total 4.2 oz on sale $2.79, BOGO less printable coupon for $1.50 (I used four coupons). Cost $2.79 x 2 = $5.58 less ($1.50 x 4) = FREE plus $.42 overage for all four! (Please use discretion and don’t abuse this coupon. Don’t clear out the shelves just because it’s free or else others won’t be able to get any and the stores may have to issue limits.)
- Vaseline 10 oz lotion $3.69, less $1.00 coupon from recent insert. Earned $2.00 ECBs. Net cost = $.69!
- Secret Flawless 2.6 oz deodorant on sale $3.99 (reg. $5.49) less $2.00 coupon from recent insert. Earned $1.00 ECB. Net cost = $.99! (Limit 1)
- Crest Pro Health 4.2 oz toothpaste on sale $2.99 (reg. $3.89) less $3.00 coupon from home mailer (I forgot how I got it in the mail). Earned $2.00 ECB’s. Net cost = FREE plus $2.01 overage! (Limit 1)
- Lumene firming day cream .5 oz (small pink tubs) on sale $2.99 BOGO half off, so the second one was $1.49, less printable coupon for $4.00 off any Lumene product. (Thanks, Southern Savers!) I had to set my print scale to 90% for the coupon to print correctly and not get cut off at the bottom. The cashier would only take one of my $4.00 coupons because it would have put me at a negative total. Net cost = $.24/each!
- Herbal Essence Hydralicious on sale $2.88 (reg. $4.69) less coupon for $3/2 ($3 off two) Herbal Essence from recent Sunday paper insert. Earned $2.00 Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s)/each. Net cost = $.38/each! (Limit 5)
I also bought a Sunday paper for $1.50. I had 2 transactions that looked like this:
Transaction 1:
Paid for everything (including newspaper) except for the Secret deo. Subtotal was $.01 after coupons and $6.99 ECB’s I redeemed, but after tax, it came to $1.44. I earned $6.00 ECB’s from the Hydralicious, Crest, and Vaseline.
Transaction 2:
Just the Secret deo. Subtotal was $.00 after coupons and $1.99 ECB I redeemed (I used a $2.00 ECB from Transaction #1 above, but the cashier had to “down” it to $1.99 since my total was only $1.99). After tax, I paid $.19 and earned $1.00 ECB.
All together I redeemed (paid with) $8.98 in ECB’s and earned $7.00 in new ECB’s. Last week was better since I earned more ECB’s than I spent. I only paid $1.63 out of pocket (which was pretty much just tax) on items worth $41.09!
