MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a non-profit organization designed to meet the unique needs of mothers of preschoolers.  MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom – urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms – moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS is dedicated to the message that “mothering matters,” and that moms of young children need encouragement during these critical years from birth to kindergarten.

The Cleveland MOPS group meets on the first Friday of the month (September through May) from 9:00 am – 11:45 am in the fellowship hall at Candies Creek Baptist Church (CCBC), located at 294 Old Eureka Rd, Charleston, TN  37310.

Each MOPS meeting at CCBC offers an opportunity for each mom to be encouraged, equipped and to develop to reach her full potential as a woman, mother, and leader.  This is done by having speakers discuss topics relevant to this time in your lives, offering a chance to start and complete a project with creative activities, and a chance to form relationships in discussion time.  They also have a mentor mom – a seasoned mother who knows and understands the challenges moms of young children face everyday.  They also have a children’s program, called MOPPETS, for the children to grow, learn, and play while their moms attend our meetings.  They understand that with mothering, sensitive issues do tend to come up and all moms face unique challenges.  CCBC MOPS offers an accepting atmosphere where every mother is valued.
