Fun and Frugal

Here are some recent reader tips I have received by email:

• Deanna emailed: we were out running errands this evening and passed a house with lots of Christmas lights off of Peerless Rd. (across from Cleveland High) and next to the COG parking lot. If you tune your radio to 107.5, you hear the music that plays along with the light show. It is really neat. The kids loved it! We stayed through about 2 or 3 songs, but could’ve stayed longer. If you know of any other great places in Cleveland to see Christmas lights, please leave a comment or email me!
• Jenna emailed: Just learned that Bed Bath and Beyond always take their coupons regardless of the expiration date.  I was told by a friend and the by the store employees.  Also, Seasons Harvest is currently offering free professional knife sharpening for up to 3 knifes, but I don’t know how long they will do it.  They said as long as the sign was up.
• Shannon emailed: I just wanted to share that when you go to Chuck E. Cheese’s website and sign your child up for there birthday club, they will get an e-mail a few days before their birthday with a coupon for 20 free tokens.  My son’s birthday is on Tuesday, and they sent me an e-mail today.
  Also if you go to a ToysRus, and sign your child up for there birthday club, your child will get a birthday card in the mail about a week before their birthday with a coupon in it for $3.00 off any purchase of $3.00 or more.
  I know we have a lot of parents that visit this site so i wanted to pass this info along. (Note: I have a large list of birthday specials to post at some point when I get all the links ready.)
  
• Kelly emailed to say that Hamilton Place Mall has some special events listed here, where I found the following events happening from 6-9 pm:
  December 9 Santa Vols, Photos with Tennessee Santa
  Santa will wear his orange & white suit, perfect for the Vols Fans!

  December 16 Chick-fil-A’s PJ Party with Santa
  Visit Santa in your festive PJ’s and enjoy Chick-fil-A samples, visits with the Chick-fil-A cow and chances to win fun prizes.

• Bethany emailed a link for a rebate form for a free box of Kellogg’s Smart Start Strawberry Oat Bites
• Karen emailed: El Azteca Mexican Restaurant has kids meals for $1.99.  They also have the largest and best chile rellenos  that I have seen anywhere. They are next to the Little Debbie Outlet on Mouse Creek. (Note: you can see a list of other restaurants in Cleveland offering special prices on kids meals here.)
