Fun and Frugal

I’m going on a tangent that’s not necessarily a topic that’s Fun and Frugal, but something most of us enjoy this time of year…yummy holiday food!  If you have a favorite holiday recipe (finger foods, desserts, anything), please email it to me at fun [dot] frugal [at] gmail [dot] com (brackets & spaces removed) and I’ll select a few to highlight from now until Christmas. My friend Ashley Smith posted one of her favorite holiday recipes on her blog for Fresh Apple Cake.

This is my favorite holiday punch.  If you like egg nog, you’ll love it.  I got this recipe from my friend Christy Washington, who got it from Southern Living and it’s called Cupid’s Creamy Peppermint Punch.  I substitute ginger ale for the club soda and omit the crushed peppermint candies.
