Fun and Frugal

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a great Thanksgiving Day.  We enjoyed the company of family at our home and ate way too much, then we all napped, then I snuck over to CVS and had a fabulous shopping trip!  I got $94.82 worth of stuff for FREE!!! I simply followed the list at Money Saving Mom’s post here.

I would’ve paid a little out of pocket, but I used my free $30 gift card that I got last week when I used a competitor’s coupon for transferring a prescription.  Every single item I bought today earned lots of Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s)–most of them earned the same amount of ECB’s that the item cost (eg. Bic Soleil razor cost $5.99 and I got $5.99 back in ECB’s.)  I broke my trip up into three different transactions so I could roll my ECB’s to pay for the next transaction and still have lots left over.  I also used some $5/$30 coupons I got in my email inbox the other day.  I printed out the deals from Money Saving Mom’s CVS Black Friday post and dug through my coupons and found $11.00 in manufacturer coupons to use.  Rather than me typing out all the deals I got, I encourage you to check out link to Money Saving Mom’s post above.  I was able to get everything except the Schick Quattro razor/trimmer because they were out.
