Thanks, Jane, for emailing me to let me know about the Hiwassee Valley Tractor Show going on this weekend in Charleston at the Charleston City Park.  According to their website, there will be train rides, hay rides, petting zoo, crafts & games for kids, food, live entertainment, and more.  Click here for more information.  Their site doesn’t say what time the tractor show will be held, but the dates are Saturday Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12.  From what I understand, you go north on Hwy 11 and immediately past the Charleston Fire Station, turn right onto Worth Street and you’ll see the tractor show on your right.  If anyone knows the time, please leave a comment below the post.  Thanks!

***UPDATE*** I just called for more information and found out the times and cost.  It will be from 9:30 am -6:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 11 and from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm Sunday, Oct. 12.  Admission is free for children under 12 and $3.00 for anyone age 12 and up.
