Thanks, Kelly, for emailing me the following tips about the new Walgreen’s that recently opened across from the north Wal-Mart:
“At the new Walgreens across from the North Wal-Mart, they are having their Grand Opening Specials. There was a flyer in the paper on Sunday, but you can also go by the store and get more copies of the flyer.
It contains a coupon for a $25 Walgreens Gift Card for bringing in a new prescription or having a prescription transfered to them (can’t be from another Walgreens though). There is a limit of one per person (but other family members can still participate). However, CVS will match this coupon at their store, as long as you have the actual coupon. So, depending on how many prescriptions a family has, you could get a lot of $$$ in Gift Cards. The coupons expire at the end of the month, but if you time it right and get a refill this week, most insurances will cover another refill in 23 days (check with your company to find out though).
There is also a $3 off a $10 purchase in the Grand Opening Specials as well.
These 2 coupons are only redeemable at that particular Walgreens. Even though the coupon doesn’t expire until the end of the month, the flyers are only available this week.
Included at this and the other Walgreens locations, there are also some good deals on cereal, Nutrigrain bars, special K bars, Pop-Tarts, etc. if you buy a certain number for $10 and get a $5 Walgreens coupon back.”
