Bring an old phone book to recycle to the Chattanooga Zoo on August 8 or 9 and receive half-off your admission. Regular admission is $6/adults; $3 for kids age 3-15; and free for kids 2 and under. Their website says one phone book per family. The Chattanooga Zoo also has an unadvertised special every Wednesday: admission is only $1 for adults and kids (and still free for kids age 2 and under.)
We asked for a Chattanooga Zoo membership from a grandparent for our three-year-old’s birthday in March and it has turned out to be a great gift. For only $40 you get a family membership. You get unlimited free admission to the Chattanooga Zoo and many reciprocal zoos across the country, including the Knoxville Zoo. You also get invited to special member-only events.

The Aquarium in Chattanooga is also taking phone books this weekend and giving up to $10 off admission and membership fees.
The Lookouts at AT&T Field are giving a free baseball to anyone bringing in a phone book to recycle this weekend as well!

Great tips, Heather! I just called the TN Aquarium and they said you get $2 off per person up to 5 people, so that’s why they said up to $10 off. Regular tickets are $19.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids ages 3-12. Not the best deal, but if you were planning to go anyway, why not save $2/person?
