If you have children age birth through five and live in Tennessee, you can sign them up to receive a free book in the mail each month from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Type in your zip code and it will pull up the location for you to call based on your county in order to sign up your children for this free program.
Pictured above are many of the free books my boys have received free in the mail since they were born! (They are now ages 2 and 4.) They are truly nice books and I like that many of the baby books are the thick pages that can’t be torn. We have enjoyed reading these together numerous times. Tip: if you ever move, you will have to sign up again because the mail will not forward these. (We learned that the hard way.)

I wonder if this is only TN – you’d think the imagination library is connected to a national publisher…

I believe it is only TN because it is sponsored by Dolly Parton because of her childhood of having no books and not a good education. This is her way of “giving back”. She also sponsors scholarships for high school students in Sevier County since that is where she grew up.

This is a really wonderful program. I have two children and the books really starts to add up, we have quite a library. The books are quality books too. Very thankful for this program. Both my boys have been enrolled since birth.
