    Wednesday Weekly Free Classifieds 9-1-10

Posted on 31 August 2010   Print Print

Several readers posted classified ads last week successfully, so I thought we’d try it again this week and I picked Wednesday to be the day to offer this opportunity once a week.  Please read the guidelines below on what you can list in a comment.   If you listed a classified ad last week and would like to list it again, you are welcome to leave a comment again each week with your ad.  (Please do not email me your classified listing.)

Examples of items you could list include: homes, cars, furniture, baby equipment, and services needed (landscaping, housecleaning, babysitting, etc.). This would also be a great place to list yard sales and share fund-raising information for schools and other organizations, such as events and items for sale. I may have to tweak the rules as we go to keep it fun and fair. This is not a place to advertise a business since businesses that advertise on FunandFrugal.com are paid sponsors and it would not be fair to them. Please email me at gloria {at} funandfrugal {dot} com if you own a business (including home-based/network-marketing companies, such as Mary Kay) for more information about affordable advertising rates.

If the weekly Classifieds post works like it should, you can get in the habit of checking the Classifieds category on FunandFrugal.com frequently to see if other readers have left comments with new listing of items for sale or looking to buy. The CLASSIFIEDS category can be found just below the FunandFrugal.com swirl logo, to the right of FUN EVENTS, FRUGAL FINDS, RESTAURANT DEALS, OTHER.

Here’s how to list an ad: leave a comment below this post and in the Name box, put your name; in the Mail box put your email address (will not be displayed with your comment-only I can see that); and in the big box at the bottom, type your ad and include your phone number and email address, but your email address entered here will appear in the comment for all to see, so enter it with spaces and brackets like mine–gloria {at} funandfrugal {dot} com, otherwise your email address will be susceptible to “spam bots” obtaining your email address.

At this time, local classifieds may be listed by FunandFrugal.com readers in Cleveland, Athens, Chattanooga, (Bradley, Polk, McMinn, Rhea and Hamilton counties) and North Georgia, and surrounding areas. If you are receiving this by email and do not know how to leave a comment, click here and it will take you to this post on FunandFrugal.com. Scroll to the bottom and you will see the boxes to “Leave a Reply” (aka comment).
